Where is psoas muscle pain felt?

My yoga instructor mentioned something about a 'psoas muscle' when I complained about lower back and hip pain after a long day of sitting. I'm curious, where exactly is psoas muscle pain felt in the body?

Psoas muscle pain? Oh god, it's like a deep, nagging ache in your lower back, sometimes radiating to the groin or upper thigh. Basically, anywhere that feels like you slept on a bed of rocks for a week. And I know all about sleeping badly these days!

Psoas pain is a deep ache in the lower back or hip area, sometimes even going down into the groin. With any persistent pain, it's important to get it checked, just like how I keep track of my BP. Lifestyle plays a big role, but some things need a doctor.

The psoas muscle runs from your lower back through your pelvis to your thigh bone, so pain is usually felt deep in the lower abdomen, groin, or lower back. If your doctor clears it, gentle stretching and walking can often help manage the discomfort and strengthen the area.

The psoas muscle pain usually feels like a deep ache in the lower back, hip, or groin region. While proper nutrition helps general muscle health, for specific muscle pain, especially if it's persistent, seeing a physiotherapist is the best course of action. They can guide you on the right exercises.

Psoas muscle pain is typically felt as a deep, aching sensation in the lower back, often extending into the groin, hip, or even the front of the thigh. Given its deep location, it can sometimes be challenging to pinpoint. Consulting a physiotherapist or doctor for accurate diagnosis and tailored exercises is highly recommended.
