Where exactly is the kidney located?
I was looking at an anatomy chart and realised I wasn't entirely sure about the exact position of the kidneys. Can anyone tell me where exactly the kidney is located in the human body?

I always get confused about this! I think they're in the lower back, slightly to the sides, right? Near the spine? Does anyone else get a weird ache there sometimes and instantly worry it's their kidneys?
The kidneys are located in your mid-to-lower back, on either side of your spine, just below the rib cage. For me, with diabetes, maintaining kidney health is critical, so understanding their location helps visualize their care. Balanced diet and controlled sugar are key.
I used to think they were much lower, but turns out they're higher up than most people think! They sit in your mid-back, one on each side of the spine, tucked under your rib cage. It's good to know for general awareness, no need to panic unless there are symptoms.
It's completely normal to want to know the exact location of your organs, especially when you're thinking about health. The kidneys are actually situated on both sides of your spine, right below your rib cage, in your back. They are quite well-protected!
Hey! So the kidneys are in your mid-back, on either side of your spine, kinda under your rib cage. They're like bean-shaped, super important organs. It's cool to know where everything is, right?
