When you have a fever are you cold or hot?
I had a fever yesterday, and I was feeling so cold and shivery, but then later I was sweating and felt very hot. When you have a fever, are you generally supposed to feel cold or hot?

Oh, it's such a confusing feeling! First, you feel so cold you want to pile on blankets, shivering and all. Then suddenly, you're burning up and want to throw everything off. I usually try a lukewarm sponge bath to help bring the temperature down, it works sometimes.
It's both, actually! Initially, you feel very cold as your body temperature is rising and your brain thinks it's freezing. Then once your body reaches the new 'set point' for the fever, you start feeling hot. Keep yourself hydrated and rest, it's important.
Be careful with fever. I once ignored a persistent fever thinking it was just a regular cold, but it turned out to be something more serious and led to complications. Always monitor your temperature, and if it's very high or not going down, please see a doctor immediately. Don't take chances.
Cold, then hot, then cold again! It's like my body can't decide if it wants to be an icebox or a tandoor. By the time I figure it out, I'm just tired. Best to just take a paracetamol and let the body do its drama, no?
Cold sores can e uncomfortable and painful. Moreover who wants to wait for weeks to make it heal of it's ...
Dude, it's super weird! First I'm shivering like crazy, asking for extra blankets. Then like an hour later, I'm sweating and feel like I'm melting. It's so confusing. I just chug water and try to sleep it off.
