When was hepatitis c discovered?

A colleague of mine was talking about Hepatitis C, and I realized I don't know much about it. I'm just curious, when was Hepatitis C first discovered? Trying to fill in my knowledge gaps.

I can understand why you'd be looking up discovery dates. It often helps to feel like you have more information when you're worried about health. Hepatitis C was a scary one, so knowing when it was identified is just part of understanding the whole picture.

Another disease discovery, another thing to worry about, haan? Feels like every day there's a new 'when was X discovered'. Good thing we have doctors and medicines now, warna hum toh home remedies pe hi chalte rehte.

The discovery date is a scientific fact. For practical health, what matters is getting tested if you have symptoms or risk factors. My doctor at Fortis always tells me to get any concerns clarified by a professional. Don't hesitate to ask your doctor.

Knowing the history is interesting, but what's crucial is staying proactive about your health. For thyroid, I do regular tests, and for something like Hepatitis C, regular check-ups and doctor consultations are key. Don't self-diagnose!

My family often talks about how many new illnesses are being identified. Hepatitis C is one such. While our elders have their traditional wisdom, for serious health matters like this, trusting our doctors completely is the best path.
