When u have fever?
I'm feeling quite unwell with a fever and body aches, just like last time I caught a viral infection. My head is throbbing. What's the best way to manage things when you have a fever and feel really weak?

Hey! When I have a fever, I mostly just try to rest a lot, drink plenty of water, and eat light. Don't stress too much unless it's super high or you feel really awful. Paracetamol helps, of course. Just chill, watch some Netflix, and let your body recover!
With my thyroid issues, I'm always very careful with any health changes, including fever. I make sure to monitor my temperature closely. For anyone, if a fever is persistent or accompanied by other worrying symptoms, please get it checked. For those with existing conditions, always follow up with your doctor and keep them informed, don't self-medicate.
I learned the hard way not to take fever lightly. Once, I thought it was just a regular fever, but it turned out to be dengue, and I had complications because I delayed seeing a doctor. So, my strong advice is, if your fever is high, or it lasts more than a day or two, or you feel very weak/have other symptoms, just go to the doctor. Better safe than sorry.
As a working professional, I can't afford long sick leaves. So, at the first sign of fever, I take paracetamol and hydrate heavily. If it doesn't break within 24 hours, or if I feel really unwell, I immediately book a doctor's appointment. Early intervention means getting back to work faster. No time for guessing games.
Don't panic if you have a fever, it's your body fighting something. Just make sure to rest, drink lots of fluids, and keep an eye on your temperature. If it gets very high, or you have other severe symptoms like breathlessness or rashes, then you must see a doctor, okay? Take care of yourself.
I've had my share of fevers, and the key is to manage symptoms and watch for red flags. Hydration is critical. Use a thermometer to monitor your temperature regularly. If it's consistently above 102°F, or lasts more than 2-3 days, or you have severe pain/difficulty breathing, then it's definitely time to see a doctor. Otherwise, rest and paracetamol usually do the trick.
