When to take fever reducer?

My little one has a mild fever today, around 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I usually wait a bit, but my mother-in-law says to give something right away. What's the best time to give a fever reducer, like crocin or paracetamol for kids?

Yaar, usually I take a fever reducer if my temperature is like 101°F or more and I'm feeling really uncomfortable, you know? Like body aches, chills, etc. Actually, some doctors say a low-grade fever helps fight infection, so no need to pop a pill for a mild one. Just listen to your body, and if you feel proper unwell, tabhi lo.

Um, hello everyone. I'm new here. I usually get confused about this. My mom always says to wait until it's really high. Is it okay to take it if the fever is not super high but you're having body aches? Or only for high temperature?

I've tried all the home remedies for fever first – a cool compress, basil leaves in tea, steam. But if the fever crosses 101°F (38.3°C) and I'm feeling really achy or shivery, that's when I reach for a paracetamol. No point suffering needlessly. If it's a mild fever and I feel okay, I let my body fight it naturally. Be practical and listen to your discomfort.

Aha, the eternal question! I usually wait until my fever decides it wants to throw a proper party, like 101°F (38.3°C) or higher. Below that, I just tell it to 'chill' with some cold water and rest. If it's making me feel like a melted popsicle, then out comes the paracetamol! But seriously, if you're feeling really rotten, take it. No need to be a hero!

As a working professional, I can't afford to be bedridden. So, if my fever hits 100°F (37.8°C) and I start feeling drained or body aches set in, I usually take a reducer. It helps me manage symptoms and prevents it from getting worse during the day. Don't wait until you're completely incapacitated, but also don't pop one for every slight warmth. Listen to your body's discomfort level.
