When to take 6 month old to hospital for fever?

My six-month-old baby has a fever and is quite fussy. I gave him some fever drops, but I'm not sure if it's enough. When do you take such a young baby to the hospital for fever?

Bro, for a 6-month-old, any fever over 100.4F is a serious deal. My little nephew had a fever once, and my sister rushed him to the hospital immediately even for a slightly high temp. For such small babies, it's always better to get them checked out ASAP.

Hi everyone, I'm expecting soon and this question really worries me. So for a 6-month-old, a fever of 100.4F is always an emergency? Are there any other symptoms I should watch for that mean hospital, even with a lower fever?

Look, for a 6-month-old, if the fever hits 100.4F (38C) or higher, you don't call your regular doc, you go straight to the ER. Period. Babies that young can get very sick very quickly. Don't take any chances.

This is so important to know for future reference! I've read that for babies under 3 months, any fever is an emergency, but I wasn't sure about 6 months. So, 100.4F seems to be the threshold. Good to be informed!

My younger cousin is 6 months old. My mami told me her pediatrician said any fever above 100.4F for a baby this young means a trip to the hospital. They need to rule out anything serious quickly. So just go, don't overthink it.

For a 6-month-old, any fever over 100.4F is a serious alarm. Do not fall for any 'natural cures' or internet remedies. Go to the hospital immediately and let actual doctors diagnose and treat. Their immune system is too delicate to experiment with.

Beta, chote baccho ko bukhar ho toh bohot dhyan rakhna chahiye. 6 mahine ke bacche ko agar thoda bhi tez bukhar ho, jaise 100.4F se zyada, toh ghar pe ghabraane ke bajaye turant hospital le jaao. Unki sehat sabse zaroori hai. Thoda tulsi ka ras de sakte ho agar halka hai, par zyada ho toh doctor.

My baby was 6 months old when he suddenly got a fever of 101F. We rushed him to the hospital, and they kept him for observation and did tests. It turned out to be a viral, but they said we did the right thing by coming in. For babies this young, any fever above 100.4F, just go.

For a 6-month-old baby, any fever of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher is considered a medical emergency. You should take them to the hospital right away, don't wait. They're too young to fight off serious infections on their own. No ifs, ands, or buts.

For an infant of 6 months, a fever of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher, measured rectally, is generally considered a medical emergency and requires immediate evaluation at a hospital. Additionally, any signs of extreme lethargy, difficulty breathing, or unusual rash also warrant urgent medical attention. Always follow your pediatrician's specific advice.
