When to see a doctor for vomiting?

Kal raat se I've been vomiting, maybe because of something I ate at a dhaba. I've thrown up three times already. Should I just wait it out at home, or is there a point where I need to see a doctor for this?

If you're throwing up so much that you're starting to wonder if you've turned into a human fountain, then yeah, probably time to call the doc! Also, if you're seeing weird colors or it's just not stopping, better safe than sorry, unless you enjoy redecorating with stomach contents!

Ugh, vomiting is the worst! I always get so anxious about getting dehydrated. Does anyone else get super worried if they can't even keep water down? I usually try to wait it out for a few hours with sips of water, but if it keeps coming up, I start thinking about the doctor. When do others usually decide it's serious?

For simple vomiting, usually due to bad food, take ORS and rest. But if it's severe, continuous for more than a day, or you can't keep any liquids down, you need to see a doctor. Also if there's blood or if you feel very weak. Don't wait too long, dehydration can be dangerous and lead to hospitalisation, which is costly.

Beta, for a bit of vomiting, sometimes sipping ginger tea or jeera pani helps. But if you are vomiting again and again, and cannot keep even water inside, or if you feel very weak, then you must go to the doctor. Especially if there is fever or any blood. Your body needs proper care.

Please, if you're vomiting frequently or can't keep fluids down, do not ignore it. I once thought it was just a bad stomach bug and ended up severely dehydrated and needing IV fluids. If it's constant, if you see blood, or if you have a high fever with it, go to the doctor immediately. It's not worth the risk.
