When to go to urgent care for migraine?

I suffer from migraines occasionally, and usually my regular medication helps. But sometimes they are so severe, with vomiting and sensitivity to light. Is there a point when I should go to urgent care for a migraine attack, or just try to ride it out at home?

If your migraine is so bad you can't tell your left from your right, or if it feels like your head is about to explode and your usual meds are just laughing at you, then it's urgent care time! Don't be a hero, get relief! 😂

For migraine, if it's the worst headache of your life, or if it comes with new neurological symptoms like weakness on one side, speech difficulties, or confusion, definitely go to urgent care. Better safe than sorry to rule out anything more serious.

If your migraine pain is unusually severe, sudden, or doesn't respond to your usual medication, urgent care is advisable. Additionally, if you experience new symptoms like numbness, vision changes, or problems with balance, it's crucial to seek immediate medical evaluation. Always trust a doctor's assessment.

As someone managing diabetes, I'm always careful about symptoms. For migraine, if it's so debilitating you can't function, or if it comes with vision changes that are really concerning, or numbness, then don't hesitate. Urgent care can provide quick relief and rule out other issues. Don't ignore it.

Migraines can be incredibly tough. If your migraine pain is unbearable, or if it presents with new and worrying symptoms like sudden weakness on one side of your body, severe stiff neck, or changes in vision, please go to urgent care. It's always best to get it checked out properly, especially if you have other health concerns like PCOS.
