When to go to the hospital for kidney stones?

My brother just had kidney stones, and the pain looked excruciating. I'm worried I might get them too because of my diet. If I ever feel that kind of pain, how do I know if it's bad enough to go to the hospital immediately?

Hey, don't stress too much, but kidney stones can be super painful! If the pain is so bad you can't get comfortable, or if you have a fever, chills, or blood in your pee, then definitely head to the hospital. You might need strong pain meds or a procedure, so don't delay!

If you suspect kidney stones and the pain becomes unbearable, or if your urine output significantly decreases, that's a red flag. My health tracker even warns me about hydration levels because dehydration can contribute to stones. Go to the hospital for proper diagnosis and management.

Oh, I totally get it, kidney stone pain is famously awful. If the pain is severe and unmanageable with home remedies, or if you also have fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, or blood in your urine, you need to go to the hospital. These could indicate an infection or a blockage, which are serious.

I had kidney stones once, and the pain was absolutely excruciating, like nothing I'd felt before. I couldn't sit still, couldn't find a comfortable position. When I also started seeing blood in my urine, I knew it was time to go to the hospital. That's what happened in my case, so that's when I went.

If it's a child with kidney stone symptoms, any sign of severe pain, blood in urine, or if they're unable to pass urine, you have to rush them to the hospital. Even for adults, if you can't control the pain, or have a fever with it, immediate medical attention is a must. Don't take risks.

Listen, if the pain from kidney stones is so bad you're literally screaming, or if you can't pee at all, ya if there's blood, just go to the hospital. No point waiting. They'll give you pain relief and sort out the stone. Simple.
