When to go to the hospital for chest pain?

My father had a heart attack a few years ago, and I sometimes get a mild chest discomfort, especially when stressed. How do I know if it's something serious enough to go to the hospital right away, or just acidity? Don't want to panic for no reason.

Any new, severe, or unexplained chest pain, especially if it's crushing, radiating to your arm or jaw, or accompanied by sweating, shortness of breath, and dizziness, needs immediate medical attention. Don't try to self-diagnose; it could be something serious.

For chest pain, you don't take chances. If it's sudden, sharp, or feels like pressure, especially if you're also feeling lightheaded or breaking into a cold sweat, just go to the ER. Better to lose a few hours there than to risk something critical. Time is literally life in this case.

My cardiologist always emphasizes that if chest pain is sudden, feels like a squeezing or pressure, spreads to your left arm, jaw, or back, and comes with shortness of breath, nausea, or cold sweats, you must call for an ambulance or go to the nearest emergency room. These are classic signs of a heart attack, and every minute counts.

Yaar, chest pain is no joke. If it's heavy, like someone's sitting on your chest, or if your arm starts hurting, you need to go to the hospital immediately. Actually, any chest pain that feels different or severe, just get it checked, don't wait.

Chest pain should always be taken seriously. If it's severe, sudden, or accompanied by symptoms like dizziness, shortness of breath, or pain radiating to your arm or jaw, an immediate visit to the emergency room is crucial. It's always best to get a professional medical evaluation rather than speculating.
