When to give tylenol for fever 2 year old?

My two-year-old son has a fever, and he's feeling quite cranky. I have Tylenol for kids, but I'm unsure about when is the right time to administer it for a child his age. Should I wait for a specific temperature?

Look, for a 2-year-old, you don't wanna mess around. If the fever is above 100.4°F (38°C) and the kid is cranky or uncomfortable, then Tylenol is usually fine. But ALWAYS use the dropper or syringe for kids and double-check the weight-based dosage with your pediatrician. Don't guess.

Oh my god, I used to panic so much with my little one's fevers! For a 2-year-old, generally if it's over 101 F and they're really fussy or not sleeping, then you can give Tylenol. Just make sure you know the exact dosage for their weight, that's key. Don't worry too much, fevers are common.

For a 2-year-old, if the fever is making them really upset, Tylenol can help. Just be sure to check the dosage for their weight. It's okay to seek advice from your doctor for such young ones.

Our pediatrician advised us to give Tylenol (acetaminophen) to our 2-year-old if the rectal temperature exceeds 102°F (39°C) or if the child is very uncomfortable and refusing fluids even with a lower fever. It's crucial to dose strictly by weight, not age, and never exceed four doses in 24 hours. Always consult your doctor for precise instructions.

A 2-year-old with fever? Ah, the memories. I used to feel like a human thermometer and a pharmacist all rolled into one. My wife and I generally gave Tylenol if it was above 101°F and they were looking miserable. And then, bracing for the next dose at 4 AM, because kids have perfect timing for fevers. Always check dosage with the doc!
