When to call dr for fever?

My wife has a fever that's been fluctuating between 100°F and 101°F for the last couple of days. She's also feeling quite tired. At what point should we call the doctor for her fever, or wait for another day?

From my experience, if your fever is above 102°F and doesn't respond to regular paracetamol or ibuprofen within a day, it's time to call the doctor. Also, if you have other worrying symptoms like severe headache, rash, confusion, or difficulty breathing, don't wait. Hydrate well and rest.

Hi! 😊 If your fever is really high (like 103F+) or lasts more than 2-3 days, it's a good idea to check with your doctor. And if you're feeling super weak or have weird body pains, definitely call! Get well soon! ✨

My doctor always advised that if an adult's fever goes above 103°F (39.4°C), or lasts longer than 72 hours, even if it's low-grade, to seek medical advice. Additionally, if there are accompanying symptoms like a severe headache, stiff neck, shortness of breath, or a new skin rash, that warrants an immediate consultation.

Oh, I remember panicking over every little temperature spike! But usually, if it's just a mild fever and you don't have other severe symptoms, you can wait for a day or two. Take some paracetamol, rest. But if it shoots up suddenly or you feel really bad, then call the doc. It's usually just a viral, but don't ignore bad signs.

For diabetics, any fever can be concerning as it affects blood sugar. If the fever is persistent or high, or if your blood sugar levels are erratic, you should definitely consult your doctor immediately. Keep yourself hydrated, but avoid sugary juices, opt for water or clear broths. Regular monitoring is key.

I just recovered from a nasty fever! For me, I called the doctor when it hit 102.5°F and stayed there for more than a day, and I had really bad body aches and chills. He prescribed meds, and I was fine. So yeah, if it's high and persistent, definitely get it checked.

I always try ginger tea and turmeric milk first, they help with mild fevers and discomfort. But if the temperature goes really high, say 103F or more, or if you feel very weak, dizzy, or have new, unusual symptoms, don't rely on home remedies. Call your doctor, they will know best.
