When tb test read?

My brother recently had a TB test done because he had a persistent cough. They took the sample and asked him to come back later. When exactly is the TB test read, like after how many hours or days?

For a Mantoux skin test, it needs to be read by a healthcare professional 48 to 72 hours after the injection. Not before, not after. Getting it done correctly is important. Good health is about accurate diagnostics too!

This is crucial! My friend missed getting his TB test read on time, and it messed up the whole process. You MUST get it read between 48 and 72 hours after the injection. If you miss that window, you might have to get tested again. Don't ignore the timing, it's super important!

For the skin test, it should be read between 48 to 72 hours, not earlier, not later. This isn't something where you can use home remedies, you need a medical professional to properly check the reaction. Please go on time.

From my own experience, when I got my TB skin test done, the doctor clearly told me to come back for reading exactly 48 to 72 hours later. It’s important because they need to measure the reaction accurately. Missing that window means the result might not be valid.

For a PPD (Mantoux) TB skin test, it's crucial to have it read between 48 and 72 hours after the injection. The healthcare provider will check for a raised, firm area, not just redness. If you miss this window, the results might not be accurate, and you might need another test.

I remember getting a TB test and being so worried about the timing. But it's quite specific: you need to get it read by a healthcare worker 48 to 72 hours after the injection. Don't panic if it's a bit red, they measure the hardness, not just redness. Just ensure you go within that window.
