When should you see a doctor for a fever?
I've had a fever of around 100-101°F for the past two days, along with a cough. I've been taking some basic medication. When does a fever warrant a visit to the doctor?

I'm not sure, but is it okay if the fever is low but lasts for many days? Like, below 100°F but not going away for a week?
As a working professional, I can't afford to be sick. My rule: if fever is above 102°F or accompanied by severe body aches, difficulty breathing, or if it doesn't improve in 48 hours with basic medication, I see a doctor immediately. Time is critical for diagnosis and recovery.
Yaar, if your fever is really high, like 103F+ and not coming down, or if you're getting super breathless or having severe body pain, then definitely go. Actually, if it's more than 2-3 days and you feel horrible, don't wait.
Honestly, if it's just a normal fever, I usually chill, take paracetamol, and drink lots of water. But if it's really high, like making me shiver badly, or if I can't breathe properly, then I'd ask my parents to take me to the doctor. Don't want to miss classes for too long!
