When should sleep training begin?

Our 6-month-old is still waking up multiple times a night, and we're exhausted. Friends have suggested sleep training. When is the ideal time to start sleep training for a baby?

For sleep, a regular routine like warm bath, massage, and gentle lullabies can help a lot naturally. But proper sleep training is usually best to start around 4-6 months, when the baby is a bit older and can self-soothe. Before that, they often need you more. Always discuss with your pediatrician before starting anything formal.

Generally, sleep training is recommended to start around 4 to 6 months of age. Before that, babies are often too young developmentally. Make sure your baby is gaining weight well and your pediatrician gives the green light. It's about teaching them to fall asleep independently, not forcing it too early.

Haan, sleep training! It's a big topic, na? Most doctors say you can start gently around 4 to 6 months. Pehle toh baccha bahut chhota hota hai. Once they can go longer between feeds, that's a good sign. But har baccha alag hota hai, so definitely discuss with your baby's doctor. No hurry!

With our baby, we were very careful due to some early issues. Our doctor advised waiting until at least 4-6 months before attempting any formal sleep training. Before that, babies have different needs and it might be too early for them developmentally. Please consult your pediatrician to ensure your baby is ready and it's safe to start.

Namaskaram! Our grandmothers had their own ways, but modern doctors say sleep training is usually best to start around 4 to 6 months. By then, baby's feeding patterns are more established, and they can self-soothe a bit. But always trust your pediatrician's advice more than anything else.
