When should i worry about upper right abdominal pain?

My mother has been complaining of pain in her upper right abdomen for a few days now. It's a dull ache, but she looks uncomfortable. When should we be worried and take her to the doctor?

Upper right abdominal pain, haan? Sometimes it's just gas or acidity from eating something heavy, a little ajwain or ginger tea can help. But if the pain is very sharp, continuous, or if you get fever, jaundice, or feel very nauseous, then it's serious. That's when you must see a doctor, don't try home remedies for that.

My doctor explained that upper right abdominal pain can stem from issues with the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, or duodenum. You should worry if the pain is severe, sudden, or accompanied by fever, chills, jaundice (yellow skin/eyes), persistent nausea/vomiting, or dark urine. These could indicate gallstones, hepatitis, or other serious conditions requiring immediate medical evaluation.

Upper right pain, huh? Is it your liver complaining about all the biryani you ate? Just kidding! If it's a dull ache, maybe just indigestion. But if it's super sharp, feels like a really bad cramp, or you start turning yellow, or throwing up everything, then it's definitely time to drag yourself to the doctor. My body parts usually just make a lot of noise before giving up!

Upper right belly pain, sounds like your gallbladder is auditioning for a dramatic role! 😂 If it's just a mild grumble after a heavy meal, no biggie. But if it's severe, sudden, makes you feel like you need to curl into a ball, or you turn a bit yellow, then your body's screaming for a doctor, not just a paracetamol! Get it checked!

Bhai, upar right side mein dard, haan? Kabhi-kabhi bahut zyada mirch masala khaane se bhi hota hai. But if the pain is very strong, like you can't even sit, ya fir bukhar aa raha hai, ya fir aankhein peeli ho rahi hain, then it's a big problem. Go to a doctor quickly. Don't delay.

I had upper right abdominal pain once, and my doctor told me it could be gallstones. It was severe and came with nausea. So, if your pain is intense, persistent, or accompanied by fever or yellowing of the skin, you should definitely consult a doctor. I can only share my experience, please don't take it as advice.
