When should adults go to er for fever?

I've had a fever for two days now, it's around 101°F. I'm taking paracetamol, but it's not really breaking. When is a fever severe enough for an adult to go to the emergency room? I'm trying to decide if I should go or wait.

Haan, if your fever is super high, like 103-104°F and not coming down with medicines, or if you also have chest pain, severe headache, confusion, or breathing problems, toh ER jaana hi padega. Don't take chances, na. Especially if you have other health issues.

Forget internet advice for something like this. If you have a high fever coupled with alarming symptoms like difficulty breathing, severe headache, neck stiffness, confusion, or persistent vomiting, you need to be in the ER. Call your doctor immediately or head to the nearest hospital. Don't waste time on self-diagnosis.

For adults, a fever itself might not always mean an ER visit, but if it's very high (above 103°F/39.4°C) and persistent, or accompanied by severe symptoms like difficulty breathing, chest pain, confusion, severe headache with neck stiffness, or if you have a weakened immune system, you should go to the ER immediately. Safety first.

Go to the ER if your fever is over 103°F (39.4°C) and doesn't respond to medication, or if you have any of these: severe headache, neck stiffness, breathing issues, confusion, rash, or persistent vomiting. Don't wait.

Generally, if an adult's fever crosses 103°F and doesn't respond to fever reducers, or if it's accompanied by critical symptoms like shortness of breath, severe confusion, persistent chest pain, unexplained rash, or severe abdominal pain, then it's time for an ER visit. If you have chronic conditions, be extra careful.

Hey! Don't stress too much, but for fever, you should definitely hit the ER if it's like super high (above 103°F) and not coming down, or if you're also having trouble breathing, major chest pain, or feeling really confused. Better safe than sorry, ya know? Get it checked out!
