When is vomiting a concern?

My son has been vomiting a lot today after eating something. He's not running a fever, but I'm worried. How do I know if this vomiting is just a normal stomach bug or something I should be concerned about and take him to the doctor for?

Listen, I once ignored continuous vomiting thinking it was just food poisoning, but it turned out to be something more serious. If you're vomiting non-stop, have severe pain, fever, or can't keep any liquids down, please don't wait. See a doctor immediately. It's not worth taking a chance.

As someone who has seen this, if you're vomiting blood, or if it's accompanied by severe stomach pain, a stiff neck, or extreme headache, that's an immediate red flag. Also, if a child or elderly person is vomiting continuously, don't delay, take them to the doctor.

I had really bad vomiting once because of food poisoning, couldn't even drink water. That definitely felt like a concern. If it keeps coming, especially with a fever or if you feel super weak, it's time to go to the clinic.

Dekho bhai, if it's more than a couple of times and you're feeling really sick, like dizzy or very weak, you need to see a doctor. Especially if you have a fever with it. Don't just sit at home.

I think it's concerning if it doesn't stop for several hours, or if you also have stomach pain and fever. Also, if you can't even hold down sips of water, it's important to get it checked so you don't get dehydrated. Stay safe, hope you feel better!

If it's persistent and makes you feel very unwell, it's always best to get medical advice. Take care.

If it's just a one-off thing, maybe after something you ate, it's usually fine. But if it's happening repeatedly, you feel super weak, or there's blood, then please get it checked out. Dehydration can be dangerous too, so keep an eye on that.
