When is the fever game?

My son has been having on-and-off fever for a couple of days now, usually peaking in the evening. I'm just calling it 'the fever game' because it comes and goes. Should I be concerned?

Ah, the fever game! For me, it usually starts unexpectedly, often right before a big meeting or a family function. It's never at a convenient time, is it? Best is to stay hydrated and hope it's just a small one and not a 'level boss' fever this time.

Fever can strike at any time, often when your immunity is low. For a mild fever, plenty of rest, warm fluids, and light, easily digestible food can help. But if it's very high, lasts more than a day or two, or you have other severe symptoms, please don't hesitate to see a doctor. Home remedies are for minor discomforts only.

My child, fever can come anytime, like an uninvited guest. Often when the weather changes, or if you eat something outside. For light fever, take some ginger-honey tea or a turmeric milk. But if it's strong or stays long, definitely go to the doctor, don't delay.

I think this question is about when a fever might start, not a literal game! Generally, a fever indicates your body is fighting off an infection. It can come on suddenly, or gradually build up over a few hours. It really depends on the cause of the infection, from what I've read.

I just had a fever last week, and it started very suddenly in the evening, after I felt a bit tired all day. Sometimes it comes on gradually, but mine was quick. Felt really drained and achy. Make sure to rest a lot if you feel it coming!
