When is a fever an emergency?

My father has a really high fever, around 103°F, and he's also feeling very weak and confused. When should I rush him to the hospital, or can I wait it out with home remedies?

Bro, my doc told me if it's above 103-104°F for an adult, or if you're feeling really confused, having trouble breathing, or have a stiff neck along with it, then it's an emergency. Had one like that last year, it was scary.

I get so anxious when my fever goes above 101. Is it truly only an emergency at like 103 or 104? I start panicking if I feel really dizzy or my body aches a lot. Does anyone else feel like that even with a slightly lower temp?

My mom always freaks out if my fever goes above 102°F and I start getting chills or feel super weak. Definitely emergency if you can't even stand up, or if your head hurts like crazy. Better to get checked, especially for little kids.

When you're hallucinating that your bed is a boat on a stormy sea, that's probably an emergency. 😂 More seriously, if it's super high (over 103F for an adult, or any high fever for a baby) or if you're not making sense, don't wait, go to the hospital.

Beta, when I was young, we didn't have thermometers so readily. But now with high fever, anything above 103-104 for an adult is a big signal. Also, look for trouble breathing, severe headache, or if the person becomes unresponsive. Don't delay, doctor is key then.

In my experience, when the fever is very high, say above 103°F, and is accompanied by extreme weakness, difficulty breathing, or severe pain anywhere, it's a sign to seek immediate medical help. Listen to your body, but don't delay a doctor's visit for these signs.

High fever, especially with other severe symptoms like breathing issues or stiff neck, needs urgent medical attention.

I totally get how worrying this can be. It's an emergency if it's super high (like 103-104F for an adult, lower for infants), or if you're having seizures, extreme confusion, or severe headache/stiff neck. Don't take chances, please call a doctor.

Ho na, when the fever is very high, like 103°F ya 104°F, then it's serious. Especially if you're feeling breathless or have a really bad headache that won't go. Don't wait at home, go to the hospital.

I usually push through small fevers with fluids and rest, but if it hits 103F+ and I'm feeling confused or unable to hydrate properly, that's when I know it's beyond just a bug. Proper hydration becomes critical then. Get medical advice fast in those cases.
