When does wisdom tooth pain go away after extraction?

It's been three days since my wisdom tooth extraction, and there's still some lingering pain and discomfort. I'm trying to be patient, but when does wisdom tooth pain usually go away completely after extraction?

Having thyroid issues means my healing can sometimes be slower. For my wisdom tooth, the intense pain was about 3-4 days, then it was manageable with painkillers for another week. Make sure you keep all your follow-up appointments with the dentist, especially if you have other health conditions, to monitor healing.

Oh god, I always overthink every little ache! But with wisdom tooth extraction, it's usually 3-5 days for the really bad pain to subside. After that, it's more discomfort and swelling for another week. Just follow the doc's instructions, don't ignore any severe pain or weird smells, okay? Take it easy.

Beti, after they take out the big tooth, it pains for a few days, yes. My son had it done, he ate soft khichdi for a week. The main pain goes in 4-5 days, then only a little soreness. Just take the medicine on time and rest well, okay?

Don't bother with random internet advice for something like this. Your dentist gave you specific instructions and meds for a reason. Follow THEM. The pain relief timeline varies for everyone, and if it's too much or lasts too long, call your dentist, don't ask strangers online.

The food part is crucial after wisdom tooth extraction. Stick to soft, cool, pureed foods for at least a week to avoid irritation and help healing. The pain really depends on how well you manage your diet and follow post-op care. Mine was mostly gone in a week because I was very strict with food.

It feels like forever when you're in pain, right? My wisdom tooth tried to argue its eviction notice with full force! But seriously, the worst of it is usually over in 3-4 days. Then it's just mild discomfort and the joy of a liquid diet for a bit longer. Hang in there!

Hey! It really depends on how complex the extraction was, but typically the sharp pain goes away in about 3-5 days. Then it's more like a lingering soreness and swelling for up to 1-2 weeks. Just follow your dentist's instructions, take all the meds, and use ice packs. You'll feel much better soon!

Dude, I got mine out last year. The first 2-3 days were rough, needed painkillers constantly. After that, it was mostly just soreness and I could manage. Just eat soft stuff and chill, you'll be fine in about a week. Don't try to party or anything crazy!

Oh, I remember my wisdom teeth removal, many years ago! The intense pain usually subsides within a few days, maybe 3-5 days. After that, it's more like a dull ache and stiffness for another week or so. Just be patient, take your medicines, and keep the area clean. It gets better, don't worry.

Worst pain is usually 2-3 days. By day 5-7, you should be much better, just some tenderness. If pain increases or you get a fever, see the dentist immediately.
