When does dry socket pain start?

My friend just had a tooth extraction and he's worried about something called a dry socket. He's asking me when the pain for that would typically start. I don't know much about it.

Hey! Usually, dry socket pain doesn't kick in immediately after extraction. It's more common to start feeling it a few days later, maybe 2-4 days post-procedure. It's when that protective blood clot gets dislodged or dissolves too soon. If it's severe, definitely call your dentist, they can help.

It usually starts a couple of days after the tooth is pulled. For food, strictly avoid anything hard or crunchy, aur spicy food bhi nahi. Stick to soft, bland things like daal, khichdi for a while so you don't irritate the area. Hydration is also key, but no straws!

Arre beta, don't worry too much. It usually starts after 2-3 days, not immediately. Just follow what the doctor told you, especially about not spitting forcefully or rinsing too much initially. It passes, just takes a bit of time. Keep calm.

Yaar, dry socket is actually a proper pain. It typically starts like 2-3 days after you get your tooth pulled. Not right away, so you feel okay for a bit and then bam! Be careful, haan.

I was so scared of dry socket after my extraction! But my dentist told me it wouldn't start for a couple of days if it happened. So, if you feel fine right after, don't panic. Just keep an eye out for pain developing around day 2 or 3. It's manageable if you see the doc.

The body takes its time to heal. Usually, the discomfort of dry socket manifests after a couple of days, as the healing process can sometimes be disrupted. Try to breathe deeply and stay calm, and allow your body to recover. Consult your doctor if the pain is severe.

I was just reading up on this because my friend had a tooth extraction. From what I understand, it typically starts 2 to 4 days after the tooth removal. It's not immediate pain right after, which is good to know.

Yes, I had this. The pain hit me on the third day, and it was quite intense, radiating to my ear. The key is to keep the area clean gently and definitely go back to your dentist for a medicated dressing. Don't try to manage it with just painkillers.

Dry socket? Oh god, I remember that. It's like your mouth decides to throw a party without you, and the main guest is pain, two-three days after the extraction. Just when you think you're safe, boom! Hope you don't get it, yaar.

The general timeline is 2-4 days post-extraction. It's important to avoid any strenuous activity during this initial healing phase to prevent dislodging the clot. Once your dentist gives the go-ahead, light walking can help with blood flow and recovery.

Haan, dry socket ka dard na immediately nahi aata. 2-3 din baad shuru hota hai. Aur ek baar ho jaaye toh kaafi zyaada hota hai. Tab seedha doc ke paas jaana chahiye.

My dentist explained that dry socket, or alveolar osteitis, typically presents its symptoms 2 to 5 days after the tooth extraction. The initial clot forms, but then dislodges or breaks down prematurely, exposing the bone. So, don't expect it immediately; the onset is usually delayed.

Bro, my wisdom tooth extraction gave me dry socket. Pain started like, 3 days later, not on day one. It was a dull ache that got worse. So, don't worry if you don't feel it right away, it's usually delayed.
