When do most newborns sleep through the night?

My newborn is only a few weeks old and sleeping is a big struggle for us parents. When do most newborns start sleeping through the entire night? Just looking for some hope!

Oh, the newborn phase is exhausting! I tried ghutti, warm oil massages, everything to help my babies sleep. Truthfully, newborns can't sleep 'through the night' in the way we imagine, they need frequent feeds. Longer sleep stretches typically begin around 4-6 months as their tummies grow.

Newborns? Sleep through the night? 😂 That's a trick question, right? For most parents, 'sleeping through the night' means like, a 4-hour stretch! Real long sleeps usually start around 4-6 months, after you've practically forgotten what sleep feels like!

Bhai, for newborns, 'through the night' is like, two-three hours only! Don't expect miracles. They need feeding often. Real longer stretches, like 6+ hours, usually come after 4-6 months. Just be patient, it will happen, eventually.

Bete, newborns cannot sleep through the night, their little tummies need milk every few hours. This is normal. After 4-6 months, when they grow a little and start some solids, then maybe they will sleep for longer. Give them a good massage and a warm bath, that helps them relax.

While it's very normal for newborns to wake up frequently, if you have any serious concerns about your baby's sleep patterns, growth, or overall health, please consult your pediatrician. Don't ignore your instincts, it's always better to get a professional opinion early, like I wish I had done for some of my own health issues.

Newborns, like me managing my diabetes, need frequent 'fuel' to function! They can't sleep through the night because they need regular feeds. It's usually around 4-6 months when their feeding schedule regulates and their bodies can handle longer gaps, that they start sleeping for more sustained periods.
