When do cavities start to hurt?

I've been feeling some sensitivity in one of my teeth lately, especially with cold things. I'm wondering, at what stage do cavities usually start to cause pain or discomfort?

Cavities usually start hurting when they get deep enough to affect the nerve, or when food gets stuck. Keep up with your dental hygiene, just like you keep up with your fitness. Regular checkups can catch issues before they become painful.

Yo, my cavity started hurting only when I drank something super cold. Before that, nothing. So yeah, I guess it depends on how deep it gets. Definitely get it checked before it gets worse, trust me.

I was just researching this! From what I found, a small cavity might not hurt at all. The pain really kicks in when it gets deeper, close to the pulp of the tooth, or if there's an infection. So better to address it early.

Oh, cavities! I always overthink every little ache in my mouth. They say pain happens when the decay is quite advanced, which makes me so anxious. It's definitely a sign to see the dentist, don't ignore it like I used to.

Haan na, cavities generally start hurting when they get a bit big, jab andar tak pahunch jaate hain. Pehle toh bas thodi sensitivity hoti hai, par fir toh proper dard shuru ho jaata hai. Better to see doc early.

Don't wait for the pain, seriously. I ignored a small cavity and it led to a root canal and a crown, which was so much more complicated and painful. Please, if you even suspect something, see a dentist immediately. Don't take chances.

Honestly, when it starts hurting, it's usually already past the early stage. Pain typically means the cavity has reached a nerve or is causing sensitivity. Get it checked ASAP.
