When do babies sleep longer at night?

My little one is currently 3 months old and still quite a restless sleeper at night. I'm wondering, when do babies start sleeping longer at night, like proper stretches?

Longer sleep at night? Ha! For babies, that's like finding a unicorn. My kid, I swear, thought 'night' was just a suggestion. Usually it gets better after 4-6 months when they can hold more milk, but don't expect 8 hours straight until they're teenagers! 😂

Yaar, this is the most asked question by new parents! Actually, most babies start doing longer stretches, like 4-6 hours, by around 4-6 months. Before that, it's mostly shorter bursts. But every baby is so different, na.

This sounds really challenging for new parents. Is there anything specific parents can do to encourage babies to sleep longer at night, or is it mostly just waiting for them to grow? What kind of routines help?

Typically, babies start sleeping longer at night when they can consume enough milk to sustain them for more hours. This often aligns with reaching 4-6 months of age. Consistency in bedtime routine is key to encouraging this.

It's the dream of every new parent! ✨ Generally, babies start sleeping longer stretches (like 5-6 hours) around 3-6 months. But remember, every baby is unique and on their own schedule! Keep up the great work, parents! ❤️

A good sleep schedule actually starts with their daytime activity! If a baby gets enough stimulation and 'tummy time' during the day, they are often more ready for longer sleep at night. For parents, try to squeeze in a small walk, it helps with managing sleep deprivation fatigue.

I totally get it, that longing for uninterrupted sleep! Most babies start to consolidate their sleep around 4-6 months. It's a gradual process, and some babies are faster than others. You're doing great, hang in there!

For babies to sleep longer, it's important they are well-fed and don't wake due to hunger. For formula-fed babies, ensure proper intake. For breastfeeding moms, a nutritious diet helps ensure good milk supply. Always consult paediatrician for feeding schedules.

Bachche toh bade hokar hi lambi neend sote hain. Maa ko thoda sabar rakhna padta hai. Try giving a warm bath and a gentle massage before bed, sometimes it helps them sleep better. But if the baby is crying a lot or seems unwell, better to show a doctor.

My friend's baby started giving him 4-5 hours straight around 5 months. He said it was a game-changer! Before that, it was like waking up every 2 hours. So yeah, around 4-6 months is usually when they extend their sleep.
