When did hepatitis vaccine become available?

My son's school asked for his vaccination records, and I realized he hasn't had the full hepatitis vaccine course. I'm trying to figure out when this vaccine became common, so I can understand if my older relatives might have received it or not.

There are different hepatitis vaccines. My doctor explained that the Hep B vaccine was approved in the early 80s and then became more routine for infants by the 90s. The Hep A vaccine also became available in the early 90s. It's good to know these timelines for better awareness.

Hepatitis has different types, you know. I had some complications many years ago. It's good that vaccines are widely available now. For exact availability for each type, like A or B, it's crucial to speak to a doctor. Don't delay a consultation if you have concerns.

The availability of these vaccines has truly been a blessing for public health. I recall discussions about Hepatitis B vaccine becoming widespread in the early 2000s, especially for newborns. Just as we care for our breath, we must also care for our body's protection through vaccination. Consult a doctor for personal advice.

I totally get why you'd be asking this! It's important to know the history of vaccines. It seems like the 80s and 90s were big decades for making these available. Always good to know our health history, right?

Hey! Don't stress too much about the exact dates. What's important is that they ARE available and have saved so many lives. Just make sure you and your family are up to date on your shots. If confused, ask your doc, they're the best!

Oh, I'm not really familiar with when all these vaccines came out. Is the Hepatitis A vaccine different from Hepatitis B? Do adults need both, or only children? I'm a bit confused.
