What type of infusion is used for rheumatoid arthritis?

My grandmother has severe rheumatoid arthritis, and her doctor suggested infusions as a treatment option. I'm trying to understand what that entails. What type of infusion is typically used for rheumatoid arthritis?

For Rheumatoid Arthritis, typically biologic infusions are used. These target specific parts of the immune system. Examples are Remicade (infliximab) or Rituxan (rituximab). Your rheumatologist will decide which one is best.

Yaar, for RA, it's usually those biologic infusions. My aunt actually gets one for her condition. It's not like a normal saline drip, these are special meds. Best to ask the doc directly which one is prescribed.

My colleague has RA and she undergoes infusions regularly. I don't know the exact names of the medicines she takes, but she says they really help manage her symptoms. Her doctor monitors her closely.

My wife has RA, and while we try home remedies for general comfort, for the actual condition, the doctor prescribed infusions. They are usually biologic medicines. It's important to discuss this thoroughly with your rheumatologist, as they tailor the treatment.

I was also on infusions for my RA for a while. They gave me Rituximab, I remember that name. It was scary at first but it really made a difference in my joint pain and swelling. You have to be patient and follow the full treatment plan, it's worth it.
