What type of diabetes is insulin dependent?

My neighbour was telling me about her diabetes and how she has to take insulin injections every day. I always thought diabetes meant just taking pills. Is there a particular kind of diabetes where you have to be dependent on insulin?

I used to panic thinking all diabetes means insulin, but it's not true! Type 1 diabetes is absolutely insulin-dependent because the body doesn't produce insulin at all. Some people with advanced Type 2 diabetes also become insulin-dependent, but not everyone from the start. It's important to differentiate these things.

Beta, Type 1 diabetes is always insulin-dependent from the very beginning. That's because the body cannot make its own insulin. For Type 2, many people can manage it with diet and medicines, but after many years, some do need insulin injections too. Don't worry, doctors will guide you well.

The main one that is always insulin dependent is Type 1 diabetes. This is when the body stops making insulin. Some people with Type 2 diabetes, especially after many years, might also need insulin injections. My family always says to listen to the doctor's advice carefully for diabetes management, they know best.

Type 1 diabetes is inherently insulin-dependent because the body's immune system destroys the cells that produce insulin. However, it's also important to know that many individuals with Type 2 diabetes eventually require insulin therapy as their disease progresses and their pancreas becomes less efficient. It's a critical part of managing their blood sugar.

When it comes to insulin dependency, Type 1 diabetes is always the one. The body just stops making insulin completely. For Type 2 diabetes, many start with diet and pills, and some even try home remedies, but if the condition worsens, insulin becomes necessary too. It's a doctor's decision based on your body's needs.

Having to take insulin can feel like a really big step and it's okay to struggle with that emotionally. Type 1 diabetes is always insulin dependent because the body doesn't produce insulin. For Type 2, it often starts with pills, but many eventually need insulin too. It's a tough journey, but you're not alone.

From my experience, Type 1 diabetes is the one that's always insulin-dependent. My cousin was diagnosed with it as a child. He has to take insulin injections every day. For Type 2, while lifestyle changes and oral medications can work, some eventually need insulin as well to control their blood sugar. It's a daily commitment.

Type 1 diabetes is unequivocally insulin-dependent, as the pancreas produces little to no insulin. For Type 2 diabetes, while many manage with oral medications and lifestyle changes, a significant number will eventually require insulin as the disease progresses and pancreatic function declines. It's a long-term management strategy that needs discipline.
