What type of cancer causes high blood sugar?

My uncle has been a diabetic for years, but recently his blood sugar levels have been unusually high, despite medication. We're exploring all possibilities. Are there specific types of cancer that can sometimes lead to elevated blood sugar levels?

Oh god, this is making me anxious just reading it. High blood sugar itself is scary, and thinking about cancer causing it is even worse. I hope you're okay. Please, please see a doctor right away to figure this out, don't just speculate.

Haha, is it like, cancer wants to throw a sugar party in your blood? Just kidding! But seriously, high sugar can be from many things. Don't go straight to the big 'C'. Best bet is to get it checked out by a good doctor, they'll know the real party pooper.

You know, at Apollo or Max, they always tell you not to self-diagnose. High blood sugar can be linked to pancreatic cancer or even some adrenal gland tumours. But it's not a common symptom for all cancers. You should definitely book an appointment with an oncologist or endocrinologist and ask them directly.

I understand your worry. High blood sugar is a common concern these days. While some rare cancers, especially those affecting the pancreas, can cause it, there are many other causes too like plain old diabetes. Maybe try a balanced diet and regular walks, but for cancer linkage, please consult a specialist for proper diagnosis and advice.

My doctor actually explained this to me once. Certain cancers, like pancreatic cancer, can affect insulin production directly. Also, some cancers or their treatments can cause stress hormones to rise, which then increases blood sugar. It's quite complex, so a proper medical evaluation is essential to understand the specific cause.
