What type of cancer causes fluid in the lungs?

My grandmother has been having a persistent cough and breathlessness, and the doctors found fluid in her lungs. She's quite old, so we're concerned. Are there specific types of cancer that are known to cause fluid accumulation in the lungs?

Fluid in the lungs, or pleural effusion, can indeed be caused by several types of cancer. Most commonly, it's seen with lung cancer itself, but also with breast cancer, ovarian cancer, or lymphoma that has metastasized to the pleura. It's a serious symptom requiring urgent medical evaluation. The fluid needs to be analyzed to determine if it's malignant or from other causes.

I had a scare with persistent cough and breathlessness, and the doctor mentioned fluid in the lungs (pleural effusion) can be a sign. They checked for lung cancer, breast cancer, and even lymphoma, as these can spread to the lung lining. Luckily, mine was due to something else. But if you have it, please get it thoroughly checked; don't wait.

Fluid in the lungs from cancer sounds really scary. I'm just curious and doing some research. From what I've seen, lung cancer itself can cause it, but also breast cancer and lymphoma if they spread to the lining of the lungs. It highlights how connected all our body systems are.

Fluid in the lungs is no joke; it means trouble. Don't go searching for internet remedies or random advice for this. Cancers like lung cancer, breast cancer, or lymphoma can cause it by spreading to the pleura. You need immediate medical attention and proper diagnosis from a qualified doctor. Verify everything with a specialist.

Fluid in the lungs? That's really serious. I think they call it pleural effusion. From what I've heard, actual lung cancer can cause it, or if breast cancer or lymphoma spreads there. It's definitely a 'go to the hospital right now' kind of symptom.

Fluid in the lungs? Sounds like my phone after I dropped it in the toilet! 😂 Kidding, kidding! But seriously, it's no laughing matter. Lung cancer itself can cause it, or if cancers like breast or ovarian cancer decide to spread to the lung lining. It needs a doc, like, yesterday!
