What to write to someone who just had a stroke?

My neighbour just had a stroke, and I want to send them a message to let them know I'm thinking of them. I don't want to say anything insensitive, but I also want to offer genuine support. What's the best thing to write?

Just keep it simple and positive. Something like, 'Thinking of you and wishing you a strong recovery.' No need for long essays, they'll appreciate the thought. Maybe offer specific help like 'Can I run an errand for you?' or 'I'll visit when you're up for it.'

When communicating with someone who has had a stroke, brevity and clarity are key, as they may have cognitive or communication challenges. Focus on a message of support and hope, e.g., 'Thinking of you and wishing you strength in your recovery.' Avoid overwhelming them with questions or expectations.

This is so hard, finding the right words without sounding insensitive or making them feel pressured. I'd probably write, 'Sending you so much love and positive energy for your recovery. I'm here for you.' Do you think it's okay to mention I'll check in regularly, or is that too much?

Oof, a stroke is no joke! Just tell them you're thinking of them and hoping for a speedy recovery, maybe with a little 'Get well soon, so we can complain about traffic together again!' or something light if you know their sense of humor. Laughter is good medicine, right?

My family member had a stroke, and what we appreciated most were simple messages of support. 'Wishing you strength and a smooth recovery' or 'Thinking of you' were always comforting. Avoid anything that might sound like giving medical advice or predicting their recovery path. Just be there.

Haan, for someone who had a stroke, best to keep it simple and kind. 'Thinking of you, get well soon' is always good. Aur na, offer something specific if you can, like 'Can I bring dinner over next week?' or 'Let me know if you need help with anything.' That helps more than just general wishes.

Having been through a stroke, I can tell you that genuine support means the world. Just say, 'I'm thinking of you and sending you strength for your recovery.' Don't ask too many questions or expect them to respond right away. A simple 'I'm here for you' or a specific offer of help like 'I can bring you meals' is incredibly comforting.
