What to take to sleep on a plane?

I have a long international flight next week, and I always struggle to sleep on planes. I want to arrive feeling fresh. What can I take to help me sleep on the plane?

Ah, plane sleep! Been on so many long flights. For me, a good neck pillow and noise-cancelling headphones made a world of difference. Sometimes a small, mild herbal tea in a flask can also help relax you, but best to drink it before boarding so you're not getting up a lot.

Sleep on a plane? Is that even possible? Haha! Seriously though, I try to wear comfy clothes, bring an eye mask, and listen to some boring classical music. Sometimes, I just give up and watch movies all night. But honestly, even a few hours of dozing off feels like a win.

For my BP, doctors always advise good sleep, even during travel. On flights, I make sure to stay hydrated, avoid caffeine, and try to adjust my sleep schedule a day or two before the flight. I also carry my own small pillow, it helps a lot with comfort.

From a practical standpoint, make sure you're properly hydrated before and during the flight, but not so much that you're constantly needing the washroom. Eye masks and earplugs are your best friends. Some people find a small dose of an over-the-counter antihistamine helpful for drowsiness, but check with your doctor if it's right for you.

Yeah, I'm trying to figure out this too for my upcoming trip! Everyone says a good neck pillow is essential. I'm also planning to download some white noise tracks to listen to. Hopefully, that blocks out the plane sounds enough to catch some Zs.
