What to take for fever while pregnant?

I'm about five months pregnant and just realized I have a fever. It's not very high, but I'm feeling a bit off. What can I safely take for fever while pregnant without harming the baby?

For fever during pregnancy, it's crucial to consult your gynecologist immediately. While you wait for their advice, you can use a health tracking app to monitor your temperature and symptoms, which will be useful info for your doctor. Stay hydrated and rest. Don't take any unprescribed meds.

Fever when pregnant is serious, treat it just like if a small child has it. You must call your doctor first thing. They usually say paracetamol is okay, but confirm the dosage. Keep yourself cool with lukewarm sponges, drink plenty of water, and rest. My wife had this, and our doctor was very particular about what she could take.

Oh dear, fever while pregnant sounds like zero fun and definitely no cravings for your favorite chaat! 😔 Best to call your gynecologist right away before taking anything. For now, lots of warm, soothing clear soups and hydrating drinks might help you feel a tiny bit better. Hope you recover quickly!

I had fever when I was pregnant just a few months ago! My doctor told me strictly only paracetamol, nothing else. And to take it only if the fever was high. Lots of rest, warm fluids, and light, home-cooked food. Most importantly, call your gynae immediately; they will guide you best for your specific case.

When you're pregnant and have a fever, it's really important to consult your doctor right away. With my thyroid, I always have to be extra cautious with any symptoms. Your gynecologist will check for any underlying causes and prescribe pregnancy-safe medication. Don't self-medicate, please, for both your and the baby's health.

I can't give medical advice, but I remember when my sister-in-law had a fever during her pregnancy, her doctor only allowed specific doses of paracetamol. She was advised to stay hydrated and rest a lot. Always, always check with your gynecologist before consuming anything when pregnant.

Fever during pregnancy sounds so nerve-wracking! I'd be so scared about the baby. Has anyone else here dealt with this? Did your doctor recommend anything specific that helped, or just paracetamol? I'd definitely call my gynecologist for immediate advice. Hope you're okay!
