What to serve with liver and onions?

I'm trying to cook liver and onions tonight for dinner, but I'm not sure what side dishes would go well with it. Any ideas for what to serve alongside this?

Liver and onions is quite rich. For someone like me managing diabetes, I'd pair it with a good portion of steamed green beans or a mixed vegetable salad with a light vinaigrette. Mashed potatoes might be too carb-heavy, so perhaps riced cauliflower is a better, lower-carb alternative. Always balance it out, you know.

Oh, liver and onions, that can be a polarizing dish, can't it? Honestly, sometimes the effort of even thinking about sides is too much when you're emotionally drained. Just pick something simple that brings you comfort. Maybe some soft, buttery mashed potatoes or just a simple, fresh cucumber salad. No need to overthink it.

Liver and onions needs something to cut through its richness. A simple side of steamed peas and carrots always works well. Or if you're looking for something with a bit more zing, a fresh raita with cucumber and mint would be nice. I always go for practical sides that complement without overpowering the main dish.

For liver and onions, you don't need any internet remedies for sides! Just stick to the classics. Mashed potatoes, some simple green vegetables like green beans or broccoli, maybe even some plain rice. Don't complicate it. Trust your taste buds, not some random food trend, to verify what tastes good with it.

Liver and onions, huh? That's a brave choice! I'd say serve it with a really good glass of wine... or maybe something else that helps you forget you're eating liver, haha! Kidding! But seriously, mashed potatoes are a classic for a reason, or maybe some crusty bread to soak up those delicious juices.
