What to give infant for vomiting?

My 8-month-old infant just vomited her feed, and she seems uncomfortable. It's the first time this has happened. What should I give her or do for her to help with the vomiting?

When my kids were infants and had vomiting, it was always a worry. I tried very small amounts of boiled and cooled water initially, then doctor-prescribed ORS. Absolutely no solid food or milk for a few hours. Always consult your baby's doctor for guidance.

Infant vomiting? Oh man, prepare for a messy battle! Just kidding, mostly. But seriously, the main weapon is keeping them hydrated. Think tiny sips of ORS, not chugging. And definitely call the pediatrician, they're the real superheroes here.

Please, don't ignore it or try to just manage it at home for too long. Once, I thought my child's vomiting would pass, and it got really bad, leading to a hospital visit for IV fluids. For infants, especially, get a doctor's opinion early. It's not worth the risk.

Infant vomiting can quickly lead to dehydration, which is dangerous. While hydration is key, it's also important to rule out underlying issues. If it's persistent, a doctor's visit is non-negotiable. Especially when managing chronic conditions like thyroid, you learn to be extra cautious with all symptoms.

It's tough when a baby is sick. Just keep offering small amounts of fluids, and your doctor will guide you best on medicines.

For infants with vomiting, the biggest risk is dehydration. So, focus on replacing fluids. Small amounts of ORS administered with a spoon or syringe every few minutes works well. Avoid solid foods. If vomiting is severe or there are other worrying symptoms, please see a pediatrician urgently.

Oh, I totally get it, seeing your infant vomit is heartbreaking and so scary. The main thing is to keep them hydrated. Very small, frequent sips of ORS or just continue breastfeeding/formula if they can tolerate it. And definitely call your pediatrician immediately, they'll give the best advice.

For infants, dehydration is a big concern with vomiting. My mother used to say give a little bit of rice water, but honestly, now I just follow the pediatrician's advice for ORS. Always best to consult the doctor, they know best for babies.
