What to feed toddler after vomiting?

My little one, he's just two, he vomited yesterday night. Today he seems okay, but I'm worried about what I should give him to eat now so he doesn't get sick again. Any light food suggestions that are easy on his tummy?

Oh, poor little one! After vomiting, forget fancy stuff. Keep it super simple. Plain idli, or maybe some curd rice with a pinch of salt if they like it. No spice, no oil. Just gentle comfort food to get their tummy happy again.

After my younger sister used to throw up, Mom would give her really bland stuff. Like plain rice with a little bit of curd, or just some clear soup. No heavy food at all. And lots of water, obviously.

My son just had a vomiting spell and I'm so worried! After he stopped, I tried giving him some plain rice, but he barely touched it. Did anyone else's toddler refuse to eat even bland food after vomiting? How long did it take for their appetite to come back?

After vomiting stops for a few hours, introduce food very slowly. Start with small amounts of bland, easily digestible things. Think plain rice gruel (kanji), thin khichdi without much spice, or even plain bread toast. Avoid milk and oily foods for at least 24 hours.

Once your toddler has stopped vomiting for 6-8 hours and can hold down sips of ORS, you can gradually reintroduce bland foods. Start with plain boiled rice, thin dal khichdi, plain curd rice, or small pieces of banana. Avoid anything spicy, oily, or dairy-heavy for a day or two.
