What to eat with kidney infection?

I've been diagnosed with a kidney infection and feel really unwell. The doctor said to eat light, but I'm not sure what specific foods will help me recover and not irritate my kidneys.

For kidney infection, I would suggest drinking a lot of water and clear fluids to flush out the system. Cranberry juice is also said to be good. Light, easily digestible food like khichdi or daliya is helpful. However, kidney infection is serious, so you MUST see a doctor and take proper medication. These are just supportive measures.

Kidney infection is not a small thing, bhai. First, see the doctor and take your medicines properly. For food, keep it very light. Lots of water and fluids, like coconut water or lemon water. Avoid anything spicy, oily, or outside food. Simple daal-chawal, daliya, sabzi. No heavy stuff at all.

A kidney infection requires prompt medical attention and specific antibiotics. As someone with thyroid issues, I know the importance of managing overall health. Along with your prescribed medication, a light diet is important. Drink plenty of water and clear fluids. Consult your doctor for dietary guidelines, especially regarding any potassium or sodium restrictions.

As someone who needs to be careful with my health due to PCOS, I understand being extra cautious with infections. A kidney infection is very serious. While light, hydrating foods are generally good, you really need to follow your doctor's specific dietary advice, especially if they prescribe antibiotics. Don't try to guess, please ask your doctor or a dietitian for a proper plan.

Kidney infection needs immediate medical attention, no self-treatment! Once you're on medication, focus on a clean diet to support recovery. High water intake is crucial. Bland, easy foods like boiled chicken/paneer, veggies, and whole grains. Absolutely no exercise during an active infection; your body needs rest to heal. Only very light activity after recovery, with doc's consent.

I'm not a doctor, so I can only say what I've heard for kidney health in general: drink lots of water, avoid excessive salt, and limit processed foods. But for an infection, you absolutely need to see a doctor and take their prescribed medicines. The diet should be guided by them.

Oh, a kidney infection sounds very painful. Besides water, are there any specific foods that should be totally avoided, like certain types of fruits or dairy? I'm not sure what affects kidneys.

Hi! For a kidney infection, the primary focus is hydration to help flush out bacteria. Drink lots of water, clear broths, and unsweetened cranberry juice (if approved by your doctor). For food, stick to bland, easily digestible options like khichdi, plain rice, boiled vegetables, or toast. Avoid spicy, oily, or acidic foods and caffeine. And definitely, take your antibiotics!
