What to eat when you've been vomiting?

I had a terrible bout of vomiting this morning and now my stomach feels very delicate. I'm afraid to eat anything heavy. What light, easy-to-digest foods should I eat after I've been vomiting?

Ugh, vomiting is the worst! All my foodie cravings fly out the window then. I usually just stick to sips of water or electrolyte drinks. Once I feel a tiny bit better, plain rice with a little salt, or a simple banana is all I can manage. No fun, but gotta get well!

First, focus on rehydration. Sips of ORS or coconut water are crucial. When you're ready for solids, go for bland, easily digestible foods. Think plain boiled rice, toast, bananas, or applesauce. Avoid anything spicy, oily, or acidic for a few days.

Please, if you've been vomiting a lot, don't ignore it like I once did. I thought it was just a normal stomach bug and ended up severely dehydrated. It's really important to see a doctor if it doesn't stop or if you feel very weak. They can tell you exactly what to eat and drink.

I can only share what worked for me, but please don't take it as advice. When I've vomited a lot, I try to drink lots of water and some electrolytes. For food, I just have plain rice with curd, or sometimes a very light vegetable soup. Nothing fried or heavy.

From a diet perspective, when you've been vomiting, it's about soothing your digestive system. I'd suggest starting with thin vegetable broths, plain rice kanji, or even mashed potato with minimal seasoning. Keep it vegetarian and super bland until your stomach feels completely settled. Hydration is key too.

Oh, I remember panicking so much the first time I had continuous vomiting! But it's actually quite common. Just try to keep down sips of water or gatorade. Don't worry if you can't eat much for a day or two. Your stomach needs rest. Plain toast or a banana once you feel a tiny bit better is a good start.

Hey! So for vomiting, the main thing is fluids, fluids, fluids. Small sips, not big gulps. ORS is your best friend. For food, think really plain stuff like khichdi with just rice and moong dal, no spices. Or just a slice of plain bread. Don't push it, take it slow!

Yaar, vomiting makes you feel so crappy! Actually, I always keep ORS sachets at home for such times. And when I can finally eat something, it's usually just plain white rice with a bit of salt, or sometimes just a simple roti with curd. No masalas at all!

When recovering from vomiting, the primary goal is rehydration and gradually reintroducing bland, easily digestible foods. ORS, coconut water, and clear broths are excellent. For solids, plain white rice, toast, bananas, and boiled potatoes are usually well-tolerated. However, if vomiting persists, consulting a physician is essential.

As someone with diabetes, when I've had vomiting, I have to be very careful with sugar levels. ORS is good, but check the sugar content. I stick to plain water, a little clear vegetable broth, and sometimes a very small piece of plain toast. Definitely check with your doctor for managing blood sugar when you can't eat properly.
