What to eat when passing kidney stones?

My neighbor just passed a kidney stone and the pain was unbearable. I have a history of stones myself, so I'm trying to be prepared. What specific foods should someone eat to help manage the situation when they are passing kidney stones?

I've passed kidney stones a couple of times, it's no fun. Drink a LOT of water, like seriously a lot, it helps flush them out. Avoid oxalate-rich foods like spinach, beetroots, and chocolate for a while. Also, cut down on sodium and animal protein. My doctor also told me to limit nuts. But check what kind of stone you have, as diet can vary.

Dude, don't stress too much about kidney stones, I know they're painful but you'll get through it! Just keep chugging water, like constantly. Avoid sodas and overly salty stuff. Maybe ask your doc about citric acid, sometimes lemon juice helps. Hang in there!

This is definitely something you need clear medical advice on. When I went to Lilavati, the doctor said what you eat depends on the type of stone you have. So, please, ask your urologist or GP specifically about your diet. They'll give you personalized recommendations.

Jab pathri hoti hai, toh bahut dard hota hai bhai. Hamare gaon mein log kehte hain ki zyada paani peeyo, aur ganna (sugarcane) ka ras bhi peete hain. Tamatar, palak jaise cheezein thodi kam khana. Lekin doctor ki salah sabse achhi hai, wohi sahi batayenge.

This too shall pass, my dear. Stay positive and trust in your body's ability to heal. Hydration is very important, drink plenty of water. Simple, sattvic foods will support your body. Consult with medical professionals as well, but keep your spirit strong.

Oh, kidney stones are incredibly painful and can be very anxiety-inducing, I completely understand how you're feeling. Don't worry, you're not alone. For diet, my doctor advised me to reduce salt, limit red meat, and drink tons of water. But please get proper medical advice.
