What to eat to prevent colon cancer?

My uncle recently had colon cancer, and it's made me think about my own health. I want to know what dietary changes I can make to help prevent colon cancer. Are there specific foods that are protective?

For colon health, fiber is your best friend. Eat lots of whole grains, fruits with skin, and plenty of vegetables like broccoli, spinach, carrots. Reduce red meat and processed meats significantly. My doctor also stressed regular exercise and maintaining a healthy weight. It all works together.

I've tried so many things for general gut health. For colon cancer prevention, the most practical advice I got was to increase fiber. Eating plenty of daal, brown rice, oats, and lots of seasonal veggies like lauki and tinde. And enough water to keep things moving. It helps, honestly.

Being diabetic, I'm very aware of what foods can cause inflammation. For colon cancer prevention, a diet low in refined sugars and high in fiber is key. I focus on whole grains, legumes, and lots of green vegetables. It helps manage blood sugar and is good for colon health too.

Simple. Eat more fiber: fruits, veggies, whole grains. Cut down on red meat, especially processed stuff like salami or sausages. Stay hydrated and exercise. And if you're over 45-50, get regular screenings. No shortcuts here.

This sounds really serious. I didn't know diet played such a big role in colon cancer. So, like, eating brown bread instead of white is helpful? And are all fruits equally good, or some are better for fiber than others?
