What to eat in high fever?

My daughter has a very high fever, and she's not eating anything. I'm worried she'll get dehydrated. What are some easy-to-digest foods that are good for her when she has a high fever?

With high fever, you really shouldn't be experimenting with random food advice from the internet. It's important to consult a doctor immediately. They'll tell you what's safe to eat and, more importantly, what medicines you need. Proper medical care is key, not just diet.

In high fever, hydration is number one. Track your fluid intake and make sure it's high. Foods should be bland and easy to digest, like khichdi, plain dal, or clear soups. Avoid anything that might upset your stomach or is heavy. Your body needs all its energy to fight the fever, not to digest complex food.

High fever means your body is under stress, so light, easily digestible foods are a must. Focus on clear broths, rice gruel, or plain dal. Hydrate with ORS or coconut water. Forget about heavy meals or rigorous exercise. Your body needs rest and simple nourishment to recover.

For high fever, the first step should always be to consult a doctor, preferably at a good hospital. They will diagnose the cause and prescribe appropriate medication. Regarding food, they will likely recommend very light, bland, and easily digestible foods like khichdi, soups, and plenty of fluids. Do not self-treat high fever.

High fever is so worrying, I always get anxious about what to eat to get my strength back without upsetting my stomach. I try to stick to just plain water, ORS, and maybe very thin khichdi. No spicy food at all! It's so hard to eat when you feel so weak.
