What to eat during high fever?
My fever has been really high since yesterday, and I'm feeling quite weak. I'm worried about not eating properly. What kind of food should I try to have to keep my energy up without making myself feel worse?

High fever means your body is working hard, so you need to keep energy up but not overload your system. Focus on liquids – ORS, coconut water, thin dal water, clear soups. When you can eat solids, very light options like plain rice kanji, daliya, or soft moong dal khichdi are best. No heavy, spicy, or oily food at all. Rest is crucial too.
Beta, when the fever is high, appetite goes. Don't force yourself to eat much. Just keep sipping warm water, ginger tea, or clear broth. My mother used to make thin rice gruel, that was easy to swallow and gave some strength. Your body needs rest more than anything. Don't worry, it will pass.
During high fever, the body's agni (digestive fire) is very low. So, consume only very light, easily digestible, and warm foods. Thin vegetable soups, warm rice water (kanji), or simple moong dal soup. Avoid cold drinks, heavy foods, and anything that takes effort to digest. Rest and gentle care are paramount.
I remember panicking when my fever spiked and I couldn't eat anything. But the doctor just told me to focus on fluids and not worry too much about food for a day or two. Sips of ORS, coconut water, and if I could manage, a little plain khichdi. Your body will tell you what it can handle. Don't force it.
