What to eat after vomiting and nausea?
I've been feeling nauseous for hours and finally vomited. Now my stomach feels empty but still a bit queasy. What are some foods that can help calm my stomach and get me back on track?

Vomiting and nausea can be quite debilitating. Focus on clear fluids like ORS or plain water first. If you can't keep anything down, it might indicate something that needs a doctor's visit, which could be more expensive if delayed. For food, plain toast or a small banana. Simple, effective, and less costly than medications later.
Beta, when you have vomiting and nausea, your stomach is very delicate. First, just sip warm water or a little ginger tea. Then, a small amount of thin rice kanji or moong dal khichdi. Don't eat anything oily or spicy. Rest is very important.
Persistent vomiting and nausea can be signs of something more serious. While bland foods like toast and ORS are good first steps, if it doesn't subside or worsens, please, please consult a doctor. Don't self-diagnose and risk your health.
My son gets this sometimes. We usually give him ORS sips every 15-20 minutes. For food, plain white bread toast, or very soft idli. Absolutely no milk, fruits with seeds, or oily items. Just be patient and don't force them to eat much.
For nausea and vomiting, ginger tea can sometimes help settle the stomach. And very light, bland food like plain boiled rice or a few digestive biscuits. But if you can't keep anything down, or if the vomiting is severe and prolonged, it's best to see a doctor immediately.
