What to do with extra skin after weight loss?

After losing a lot of weight through diet and exercise, I'm left with noticeable extra skin around my abdomen and thighs. It makes me feel a bit self-conscious. Are there any effective ways to deal with extra skin after weight loss?

This is a really common concern after significant weight loss, especially for those who, like me with PCOS, might struggle with weight fluctuations. First, congratulations on your hard work! For extra skin, sometimes exercise can help tone the underlying muscles, which might make a slight difference, but often surgery is the most effective solution. Please talk to a specialist to understand your options, without any false hopes.

Wow, congrats on the weight loss! That's awesome. Now, about the extra skin... hmm, not sure a delicious biryani can fix that! 😂 But seriously, that's a different kind of challenge. Maybe some skin-tightening creams? Or perhaps a doctor can suggest something more permanent. Anyway, enjoy your healthy eating journey!

My son also faced this after his weight loss journey. It's tough to see them work so hard and then still have body image issues. We consulted a plastic surgeon. They explained the options, mostly surgical, and the recovery process. It's a big decision, so take your time and find a good doctor you trust. Support is key through this.

It's so heartbreaking when you've put in all that effort and are finally healthier, but then the extra skin makes you feel self-conscious again. I really struggled with this feeling of 'almost there.' It's completely valid to feel disappointed or even a bit angry. Be kind to yourself, and explore options like surgery if it's impacting your quality of life. Your journey is still incredible.

OMG, this is a real thing? I've seen people talk about it on TikTok. Like, you work so hard to get fit, and then this happens. That's kinda unfair! I guess if it's really bothering you, you'd have to talk to a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon? That's what I heard, at least.

Ho na, extra skin after weight loss can be a bit disheartening after all the effort. It's a common issue, especially if you lost a lot quickly. For small amounts, sometimes skin tightening exercises or good moisturizing helps a bit. But for more significant loose skin, consulting a good plastic surgeon is usually the way to go. They can suggest body contouring procedures.

Haha, so you lost the weight, but your skin didn't get the memo, right? It's like your body is holding onto a memory. Honestly, this is super common. Don't worry, it doesn't mean your achievement is less. Talk to a plastic surgeon, they're like the tailors for this kind of thing, can help you get that perfect fit!

Ah, the old 'deflated balloon' look, eh? Been there, done that, got the t-shirt (which also hangs a bit loose now, ironically). After a certain age, skin elasticity is like my enthusiasm on a Monday morning – not quite what it used to be. For real, though, you might need to see a plastic surgeon. No amount of face cream is going to fix a whole torso of extra skin. Congrats on the weight loss, though! That's the hard part done.
