What to do when somebody has a stroke?

My friend's father had a stroke last week, and it was a very scary experience for their family. I want to be prepared in case I ever witness such a situation. What should one do immediately when somebody has a stroke?

As someone managing diabetes, I'm always aware of the risks like stroke. If someone is having a stroke, the most important thing is to act FAST – Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, Time to call emergency. Immediately call an ambulance; every minute counts to minimize brain damage. Do not try to give them food or water.

Okay, this is *not* the time for a comedy show, but seriously, if someone's having a stroke, don't try to be a DIY doctor! The only 'remedy' is calling 108 or an ambulance FAST. Like, super-duper fast. Time is brain, remember that! Don't let them sleep it off or give them chai. Just call for help!

Stroke is an absolute emergency. Don't waste a second. Call 108 or your local emergency number immediately. While waiting, ensure the person is in a comfortable position, loosen any tight clothing, and do not offer them anything to eat or drink. Time is critical for treatment.

If someone is having a stroke, you need to get them to a good hospital immediately. This is not the time to think or try anything at home. Call the ambulance, and once they're at the hospital, make sure the doctors clearly explain the treatment plan and what to expect. Every minute counts for a stroke patient.

In such a serious moment, the most important thing is to act with a calm mind and seek immediate medical help. Call the ambulance without delay. Keep positive energy around the person. Trust in the doctors and keep hope. Your swift action and positive intent are what's needed most.
