What to do when running a fever?

I've been feeling feverish since yesterday evening, and it's getting worse. I also have body aches. What are some immediate steps I can take when running a fever to feel a bit better?

Ugh, fever is the worst! 🤒 First, get lots of rest, like, ALL the rest. Hydrate with water, ORS, or juices. A cool compress on your forehead really helps too! And don't forget your prescribed fever medicine. If it's high or lasts long, def see a doc! Stay well! ✨

Fever puts extra strain on the body, which is something I, with my high BP, have to be very careful about. Get ample rest, stay well-hydrated, and take appropriate fever medication as prescribed. Monitor your temperature closely. If it's a persistent high fever, or if you feel very unwell, please visit a doctor. Don't take chances with your health, proper checkups are important.

Dude, fever sucks. When I get it, I just pop a paracetamol, crash for like 12 hours, and chug a lot of water. My mom makes me drink some kadha too. If it's still there after a day or two, then I hit up the doc. No point pushing it, right?

When you have a fever, light, easily digestible food is best. Think khichdi, dal-rice, or clear vegetable soup. Avoid anything oily, spicy, or heavy. And proper hydration with warm water or herbal teas is also very important for recovery. Don't force yourself to eat if you don't feel like it.

Haan bhai, fever ho toh pehle toh aaram kar. Bilkul chill kar. Pani peete rehna, ORS bhi le lena thoda thoda. Garam kapde nahi pehenne zyada, body ko cool rakhna hai. Aur agar zyada high ho jaye na, toh doc ko phone kar le. Self-medication mat karna.

Managing a fever involves a few key steps. Rest is paramount to allow your body to fight the infection. Hydration is critical, so consume plenty of fluids like water, ORS, or clear broths. Over-the-counter medications like paracetamol can help reduce the fever and discomfort. Monitor your temperature, and if it's very high, persistent, or accompanied by severe symptoms, consult a doctor.
