What to do if you have a heart attack alone?

My father had a heart attack when he was alone at home. It makes me wonder, what if something like that happens to me? What exactly should one do if they feel like they're having a heart attack and there's no one around?

Okay, first, don't panic like it's a horror movie scene, even though it feels like one! Call 108 or your emergency contact right away. Then, try to sit or lie down comfortably and just focus on slow breaths. No heroics, just survival mode!

This is very serious! It reminds me why regular check-ups are so important. If you suspect a heart attack and you're alone, immediately call for emergency medical help (108 in India). Try to unlock your door if possible so paramedics can enter. Don't try to drive yourself.

Listen, I once ignored some serious chest pain thinking it was just gas, and trust me, that's the biggest mistake. If you think it's a heart attack, you MUST call emergency services (108). Don't wait even a minute. Your life depends on it.

I haven't been in this exact situation, but I've always told my family if I'm alone and feel really unwell, they should call me immediately. I guess the most important thing is to make sure someone knows you need help, so call an ambulance first, then maybe a close person.

The fear in that moment must be overwhelming. It's okay to feel scared. The absolute priority is to call for help – 108 or your nearest emergency number. Try to stay calm, which is easier said than done, but it's crucial. Just focus on getting that help.
