What to do if you get a fever while pregnant?

I'm in my second trimester, and yesterday I suddenly developed a mild fever. My doctor told me to be careful with any medicines, so I'm a bit panicky. What should I do if I get a fever while pregnant?

Haan, fever during pregnancy can be a bit scary na. Best to call your gynaecologist right away. They'll tell you what medicine is safe to take or if you need to come in for a checkup. Don't take anything without asking them!

Please, please do not ignore any fever when you're pregnant. It's always better to be safe than sorry. Contact your doctor immediately and get it checked out. They will guide you on the best course of action.

When I was pregnant and got a slight fever, I called my doctor right away. They asked me to monitor it and told me what paracetamol dosage was safe. Everyone's situation is different, so your doctor is the best person to consult.

Hey, don't stress too much, but definitely get in touch with your doctor ASAP! They know best what's safe for you and the baby. Drink lots of fluids and try to rest while you wait for their advice. You'll be okay, just be proactive!

Beta, it's common to worry about these things during pregnancy. In my time, we would always call the doctor for any fever. Just tell your doctor, they will know exactly what to do. Try to rest and keep yourself hydrated in the meantime.
