Severe tooth pain is truly awful. Get to a dentist quickly.
Please, please don't ignore severe tooth pain like I did once. I thought it would just go away and ended up with a much worse infection that needed a root canal and cost a lot more. It's a sign of a serious problem. See a dentist ASAP. In the meantime, warm salt water rinse and cold compress on the cheek might give very temporary relief.
Severe tooth pain needs immediate dental attention. Delaying it will only make the problem worse and lead to more expensive procedures later on, like extractions or root canals. For temporary relief, an over-the-counter painkiller and a warm salt water rinse are fine. But plan for that dentist visit right away; it's an investment in avoiding bigger costs and pain.
Oh man, severe tooth pain is incredibly anxiety-inducing. It's that constant, throbbing kind of pain that makes you feel completely helpless and on edge. Please know it's completely normal to feel overwhelmed right now. While you're trying to get a dentist appointment, try to focus on deep breathing and distractions. But a proper check-up is the only real way to get rid of this pain and anxiety.
